It is simply the creation of a space in which we are able to expose and undo our neurotic games, our self-deceptions, our hidden fears and hopes. We provide space through the simple discipline of doing nothing." ― Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

She is a Mediation Instructor in the Shambhala tradition as well as a certified Mindfulness Facilitator from Engage Mindfulness Institute with Fleet Maull. She offers her classes as a way to share this body, mind and heart practice with people… “To recognize the display of wisdom for all things, to touch in with our basic goodness”. Join us for our weekly introduction to meditation and Shambhala Dharma talks or readings by senior teachers of Shambhala Buddhism. These evenings features meditation instruction, a short period of meditation and discussion. We start with mingling and refreshments. All are welcome; newcomers as well as seasoned practitioners. Bring a friend! Weekly Gatherings are free and open to the public. There is a $10 suggested donation, but no one turned away for lack of funds. NOTE THAT OUR GROUP HAS LOTS OF REGULARS WHO DO NOT SIGN UP THROUGH MEETUP. OUR MEETINGS ARE CURRENTLY AVERAGING 20 ATTENDEES REGARDLESS OF RSVP'S THROUGH THIS SITE. WHY DO WE MEDITATE? Meditation and mindfulness is less about achieving a peaceful state of mind than rolling up our sleeves and experiencing life directly. Washing dishes in the sink can be meditation as much as sitting in a monastery reciting mantras. The Weekly Dharma Gathering evenings are about integrating a spiritual life with a secular life and having a sense of humor along the way.
