What we're about

As part of Emma Watson's work with UN Women, she has started reading as many books and essays about equality as she could get her hands on. There is so much amazing stuff out there! Funny, inspiring, sad, thought-provoking, empowering! So she decided to start a Feminist book club, as she wants to share what she's learning and hear our thoughts too. The book club exists since January 2016 and you can read more about it on Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/179584-our-shared-shelf).

The plan of her book club is to select and read a book every 2 months. I'm creating a Meetup in Leuven, where we can meet and discuss the books selected. The meetings are held entirely in English.

The September-October book selection is 'The Argonauts' by Maggie Nelson (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22929741-the-argonauts).

We are meeting in HAL 5. They usually have coffee, tea and breakfast available.

And the meetings are held entirely in English.

The Meetup platform is asking the organisers to pay a fee to be able to use the platform and organise meetings. Therefore I'm asking for a symbolic fee of 1 euro from each participant and you can pay that when you attend the meetings.

If you fancy it, please join up and participate. Everyone is welcomed.
