A group for those who enjoy a good tipple with good people and lots of laughs! Pub crawls, pub quizzes, tasting events, pub games - you may see a recurring theme here!! Maybe even some music/beer festivals/camping events if people are interested!! A chance for those new to the area, or those just wanting to let loose and make new friends, to get together for lots of laughter and perhaps slightly tipsy times in different surroundings with likeminded folk! I'm bored of staying in on a weekend!!!!
I won't be asking for a membership fee off anybody, but if you are enjoying the meet ups and you'd like to help me cover the costs of running the group, I'd greatly appreciate any donations on my gofundme page! gofundme.com/sheffieldtipplers
Simply hop on and off a tram sampling various drinking establishments on the way.
Plan as follows, in case anyone gets lost:
2.30 Meet in Church House for first drinks
3.30 get tram from Cathedral to Hillsborough Stop, where we will head to Rawson Spring, plus option to try The Riverside and Hillsborough Tap.
6.30 Tram to Primrose Hill/Langsett rd stop, for the Hillborough Hotel (great pub),[masked] tram to Shalesmoor stop, to finish night in Kelham island area.
It's been a little while since we've done Eccy road so here it is.... Now due to the size of many of the bars I have set a smaller limit to try and give us a chance to see some of the little bars.. we can always stagger it like usual though. I'll try and get us some deals along the way.
Start at sheaf island from 1:30pm ish... I'll be getting some food in there and I suggest others do to so we probably won't leave there until 3, heading away from town.
St Patrick's Weekend, so good excuse for a bar crawl. If there's a Guinness Tent or Warehouse party we'll check that out. Meeting venue to be decided nearer time. For those that fancy a few drinks on St Patrick's Day (Sunday)-see separate event for that.
Its St Patrick's Day, So lets celebrate with a few drinks and some live music. Lively original celtic-folk rock band "Treebeard" (The "Led Zeppelin of Folk") are in the Church House from 3pm, after that we can check out other irish bars on Trippet Lane.
