Wednesday Chess at Handley Regional Library
Join us for an evening of Chess, Twice a Month at Handley Library, 100 West Piccadilly Street, Winchester, Virginia from 4:30 to 7:30PM.
All ages and skill levels are warmly welcome to learn and play the Royal Game. This event is FREE and Open to the Public.
We meet upstairs on the 2nd Floor in the Youth Services Department.
Wednesday Chess is especially great for families, first timers, and those returning to the game.
Open game period from 4:30 to 7:30pm with a presentation at 5:30pm on Chess Tactics and Strategy.
Bring your board and chess equipment (i.e., notepads, clocks, etc.), or just yourself and a friend.
The Shenandoah Valley Chess Club promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, for its own sake as an art and enjoyment, but also as a means for the improvement of the Shenandoah Valley region.
We are partnered with the Handley Library and affiliated with the United States Chess Federation. Our goal is to promote the educational and civic benefits of the Royal Game to all people in our community.
