WARDS/RANDALLS ISLAND CIRCULAR
MEET: 9:30am at Thomas Jefferson Rec Center, First Avenue and East 112 Street. Directions: M‐15 bus or IRT #6 to 110th St Station (walk east to 1st Ave)
Itinerary: From the Rec Center to Wards Island pedestrian bridge at 103rd St. Continue to view Hell‐Gate,salt marshes, Mill Rock Island,Icahn Stadium,hidden ponds and recent efforts at conservation and restoration of the tidal wetlands. Return via pedestrian bridge.Duration: approx 3 hrs and distance 5 miles. Need to Know: Rain cancels. Bring liquids/snacks. Lunch in East Harlem (optional)
