Child friendly. Strolling, sightseeing at a gentle pace. This legendary gem on the Hudson, opposite West Point, is open only 3 weekends per summer.
Expect entrance fee of $10, covering free boat rides, guided walks, or independent exploration. Amenities include shaded picnic groves, public restrooms, a gift shop in the historic Warner House, walking trails, and a hot dog vendor. Departure time is optional.
As of September 20 the Family Day is listed on the Constitution Island website so the event will take place as scheduled.

Meeting: Take the 9:43 a.m. Metro North Hudson Line train from Grand Central to Cold Spring, arriving Cold Spring at 11:03 and meet at the parking area south side of train station, for transport to the island. The round trip fare is $28.00.
