This will be a leisurely walk from Hastings On Hudson to the Riverwalk
at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown. I strongly suggest you bring food and beverages for lunch. You will have an opportunity to buy food at Irvington Pizza Company in Irvington. If you do not want to walk up or down any hills, then THIS IS NOT the hike for you.

The walk will begin promptly when the Metro North train arrives on the North Bound Platform of the Metro North Station at Hastings on Hudson at 10:51am. I will meet the group on the platform. We'll sign in and use the restrooms at the Hastings Library about 1 block away from the train station. We have to walk up hills once we leave the train station and library to get to the Old Croton Aqueduct. The Aqueduct Trail is hard packed dirt through the woods. Bring bug spray and closed toe sneakers or hiking boots. The hike will take us thru Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, and the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown. At the foot of the Lyndhurst Estate is access to a newly-opened section of the Hudson Riverwalk, with scenic views of the Hudson, the new Mario Cuomo Bridge, waterfalls and interpretive signage. Lyndhurst is about 3.5 miles north of the Keeper's House in Dobbs Ferry on the trail and about 1.6 miles north of the Irvington MTA station. The hike will end at the Irvington Metro North Train Station.

There are bathrooms to use in all four towns on this walk.

We will stop for 45 minutes in Irvington to eat Lunch. There are benches to eat on in front of the elementary school across the street from The Irvington Pizza Company on Main Street.

Total distance is approximately 6 miles. About 6 hours. You can easily opt out in Dobbs Ferry and Irvington.
