Movie Night--"Chasing Ice": August Monthly Program Meeting (Cross-post)

The Headwaters Group of the Sierra Club will be showing "Chasing Ice", the award winning documentary on climate change, at its August monthly program meeting on Thursday, August 14th at 7pm at the South Branch of the Durham Library.

Please come and bring some friends and neighbors. Popcorn and refreshments will be served!

The group is showing this movie to build support for the People's Climate March in NYC on September 21st.  Click here for more info about the march. The group hopes to provide information about transportation to the rally in the coming weeks. Save the date/weekend if you want to trek up to NYC w/the Sierra Club and march in support against climate change!  Both Headwaters and the Capital Group will have a separate Meetup event for the march.

About the movie:  Follow National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic as he deploys time-lapse cameras designed for one purpose: to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers. Movie runs 75 minutes.
