Christian Thomas is a Geospatial Engineer who monitors mining, offshore infrastructure and marine pollution at SkyTruth. Ry Covington is the organization’s Technical Program Director and uses GIS, remote sensing, and machine learning in his work. SkyTruth uses satellite technology to identify and monitor threats to the planet’s natural resources such as offshore drilling and oil spills, urban sprawl, fracking, mountaintop removal mining, and overfishing of the oceans. In this program Mr. Thomas and Mr. Covington will be introducing us to SkyTruth’s work and its impact on threats to our environment.

The public is welcome to this program, free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
