Pescadero Creek County Park starting from Hoffman Creek Trailhead off Wurr Road

Hike length: ~ 14.5 miles

Elevation gain: ~ 2500 feet.

Expected duration of hike: 7 hours

This is a strenuous hike. Please contact one of the leaders if you are not used to hiking this length or elevation gain.

We will hike on lesser-known trails in Pescadero Creek County Park over varied terrain. The hike will start on Old Haul Road, then continue up and along Butano Ridge. Once we have reached the top, we will make an out and back side trip for stunning ocean views if it is a clear day. Returning, we will continue on Butano Ridge and then down again towards Old Haul Road which will take us back to our cars.

Directions to trailhead: From Hwy 280, take Hwy 84 (Woodside Rd) west through La Honda, turn left onto Pescadero Rd, after 1.1 miles turn sharply right to continue on Pescadero Rd, after 4.1 miles turn left onto Wurr Rd (immediately beyond YMCA Camp Loma Mar entrance). The trailhead is on the left near the bridge.

Time to meet at trailhead: 9:15 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. start. Parking on Wurr Road.

Carpool locations: (1) 8:00 a.m. at Lucky supermarket parking lot, 2175 Grant Rd., Los Altos (park near Grant Rd. side of lot). (2) 8.15 a.m. at the Page Mill and 280 P&R (3) 8:15 a.m. at the park and ride at Edgewood and 280
