John Brooks Open Space/Waterdog Lake hike

Join us in Belmont for an energetic hike with spectacular views and vegetation and maybe some wildlife. Dogs on leash are welcome. Bring: water, layers, lunch, sunscreen. We will meet at the John Brooks Open Space trailhead at the intersection of Hallmark Drive and Lake Road.
Directions: Take the Ralston Avenue exit from 280 or 101 and head south on Hallmark from Ralston. Lake Road will be on your left but you make have to park on Hallmark.
Rain cancels.
Event covers 8 miles, with 1200 feet of elevation. This hike is also listed with the Loma Prieta Sierra Singles but you do not have to be single to participate. Also, if you sign up to be one of the ten Meetup participants and then decide not to go on the hike, PLEASE cancel so someone on the waiting list can take your place. Eight Meetup members were signed up for my New Year's Day Russian Ridge hike with a waiting list of 10 and only two Meetup members showed up at the trailhead.
Leaders: Marilyn Stockdale Green, 650/[masked], [masked]; Joy Tom, [masked] To attend one of our events, there is NO ADMISSION FEE, unless specified.
