Yasemin Besik currently heads up Marketing, Editorial and Partnerships for Yahoo Developer Network and she also serves on the Selection Committee for Harvard Angels. Prior to Yahoo, she held executive positions in a diverse group of technology companies ranging from enterprise software to social gaming
Prashant Shah is Managing Director of TiE LaunchPad, an accelerator for enterprise startups. He is also an active Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley (www.tiesv.org), a member of its Board of Directors, and on the TiE Angels steering committee. Prashant Shah has been an early stage venture investor since 2001. Previously, he was with Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, an early stage VC focused on enterprise and infrastructure software. Prior to Hummer Winblad, Prashant spent many years defining and launching high tech products. His background spans all seven layers of the OSI stack with product management roles at enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Cypress Semiconductor and AT&T. Prashant received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Eric Menke has been a professional investor for more than 20 years. He has made both control and minority investments into numerous companies and has had a leading role in growing businesses to revenues in excess of $100 million. Prior to forming EGE, Mr. Menke was one of the founding partners of Champlain Capital, a successful $140 million private equity fund focused on making private equity and growth capital investments in companies in the middle-market. In that role, Mr. Menke made many investments in the industrial, consumer products, and retail services sectors. Prior to Champlain, Mr. Menke founded Menke Equity Partners, a firm dedicated to sourcing, structuring and financing middle-market buyout transactions.
Before forming Menke Equity Partners, Mr. Menke was an officer and board member of MBR Capital, the General Partner of MBR Investment Associates, a leveraged buyout fund in which he was responsible for sourcing, structuring and consummating acquisitions on behalf of the partnership. Prior to that, Mr. Menke served with the investment banking firm of Kidder, Peabody & Company. There he was an advisor to senior management teams of companies regarding ESOP buyouts, and tax-related financing strategies. Mr. Menke has served on numerous boards of companies ranging both above and below $100 million in revenues.
Mr. Menke received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Southern California, and his M.B.A from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Assim Gupta is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor with Keiretsu Forum. He has more than 20 years of software development and business strategy experience and has worked with leading names in Silicon Valley like Apple, Google, Oracle, SGI etc. Assim's current focus is in mobile/ cloud based consumer services and products. He typically works with early stage companies which have some unique proposition in these areas.
Assim has an MBA in International Business as well as a BS in Electronics Engineering.
