Glad to see Volt sales improving. Plug-in hybrids is a good transitional design even though buying a car for the very infrequent long distance drive may not be very rational. Buying a pure electric and then renting a hybrid for the occasional long trip might be the best choice - at least until pure electrics with rapid charge are available and charging stations exist along the highways connecting the cities that are more than 100 miles apart - perhaps every 40 or 50 miles for Interstate 5 and 80 would be a good start.
