Time Series with Machine Learning

  • February 16 · 6:30 PM

We'll look at a few different approaches to solving Time Series problems with Machine Learning. We've 2 speakers lined up:

Danilo Bassi, Senior S/W Engineer at H2O.ai will review the different kinds of problems sets that fall under the umbrella of 'time series' and go over a few examples with hands-on code to solve those problems using traditional statistical techniques as well as newer RNN based approaches.

Mark Chan, Hacker & Data Scientist at H2O.ai, will talk about a new algorithm. At H2O, we have recently debuted a new feature called ISax that works on time series data in an H2O Dataframe. ISax stands for Indexable Symbolic Aggregate ApproXimation, which means it can represent complex time series patterns using a symbolic notation and thereby reducing the dimensionality of your data. From there you can run H2O’s ML algos or use the index for searching or data analysis. ISax has many uses in a variety of fields including finance, biology and cybersecurity. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mklechan/

Hi Jui, thanks for joining the webinar. Unfortunately, the recording came out poor and we were having trouble with the sound. We are working on this to improve our next webcast. Thanks for joining.

where are the slides? How can we find them?
on this website, if you go to the menu bar, More --> Files, you would be told that Meetup has disable uploading of files.

Count me out for pizza, I can't attend in person. I would be interested in seeing a recording or presentation slide deck.
