I had an inspiring time at the Saffron Strand national conference in Richmond last week on gaining employment for at-risk youth, victims of trafficking and the homeless. Santa Clara Superior Court Judge Katherine Lucero had a nice keynote and does what she can to 'have education replace incarceration.' I got to do a session on 'quickly building trust with those in challenging situations.'
I would LOVE to see the service ethic I experienced there in all areas of our lives.
