Our good friend Laura Berger from the Federal Trade Commission returns to discuss COPPA updates and answer your questions. If you have any questions or concerns about COPPA please email them in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org, so we can get your questions to Laura before the meeting.
We also will hear from Lisa Oshima at AgeCheq. AgeCheq supplies a technology platform that helps mobile app developers manage the trickiest parts of COPPA (http://www.business.ftc.gov/multimedia/videos/protecting-childrens-privacy-under-coppa) compliance - age verification and parental consent. It reduces the friction of COPPA2 to its absolute minimum by ensuring that users only have to validate their age and parental status once across across any AgeCheq powered app, regardless of the publisher. AgeCheq is assembling a group of mobile games companies that want to reduce the friction of COPPA compliance by going live together called the Child Privacy Consortium, and Lisa Oshima is here to tell us about it....
NOTE: You can join this meetup remotely via streaming at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/apps-for-kids. If you are attending remotely, please do NOT RSVP Yes! Only RSVP if you are attending in person!
