Machine Learning Discussion Group - Deep Learning w/ Stanford AI Lab

Please note that this meetup is held on a Thursday and at a location different than our normal venue.

Adam Coates will give an overview of some recent research projects from the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab and will do a presentation with open discussion on Deep Learning, an exciting recent addition to the machine learning algorithm family.  The format will be interactive as Adam will answer questions from the group.  So this will be a great opportunity to learn from one of the authorities on this exciting topic.

Good talk, thanks very much. Would have loved to see a short video illustrating what training an autoencoder is like under the hood.

Sounds great. I would like to find a speaker on Deep Learning for our ACM local chapter. We have a Data Mining SIG group that meets once a month on the 4th Monday. We have no speaker reserved for Mon, Dec 2 (moved to avoid Thanksgiving).
