Carol Gancia-Ogawa worked for Google, yeah that Google, as a video producer before launching out on her own to start Layaco Media (http://www.layaco.com/).
Layaco Media produces promotional videos, focusing on the tech industry in the San Francisco BayArea.
In 2009, Carol started Ripplemakers.tv (http://ripplemakers.tv/), a place where producers and filmmakers can keep their chops up by creating inspiring stories that cause a positive ripple effect in the community.
Ripplemakers.tv is "about regular people like you and me whose lives have had a positive influence on their communities. By virtue of who they are ... by standing by their beliefts... by following their dreams... they create a ripple effect around them."
Some of Carol's work -
We wrote, filmed and edited a video for Botsquare, (http://www.youtube.com/layacomedia#p/a/u/0/HJOkQ0egBt0) a vision technology company in Menlo Park.
We wrote, animated and edited a video for Mobilitz, (http://www.youtube.com/layacomedia#p/a/u/2/zNkI5nEHDV8) a location-based gaming company in the bay area.

I produced, directed and edited this short piece. A production designer, cinematographer, gaffer, a sound assistant and a PA worked with me during the shoot.
I produced this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGT8ZCTBoBA&feature=player_embedded) but a big part of its success has to be attributed to the writer who created the concept and did the rough cut of the video.
I also have a new blog where I talk about my fun experiences as a video producer. I share other inspiring marketing stories and biz tips that start-ups and established companies may appreciate reading.
