In Silicon Valley the buzz is: “Data is the new currency”. Yes! We are in the age of big data.
In a world of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), common sense and gut feel decisions can often lead to serious consequences.
Dr. Errol Wirasinghe has been working in the field of decision-making for over 20 years. He will provide insights into how you can make better decisions in the face of big data.
This workshop will give participants the knowledge, tools, and techniques to make decisions that are timely, consistent, optimal, and defensible in today’s world of information and choice overload.
Attendees will gain insight on how to:
1) Recognize human irrationality and illusions that creep into decision making and put multi-dimensional, real world problems into proper perspective
·2) Master the skill of making optimal decisions
3) Use analytic, hierarchical methodology to make optimum decisions
4) Minimize risk by validating decisions
5) Handle uncertainties when making decisions
6) Understand what-if decision validation
Please come with your questions, comments, and scenarios.
