The speaker will discuss the last U.S. government actions affecting visas for business people and tech entrepreneurs.

About the Speaker

Luis Campos is a counsel in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone. He has more than 20 years of legal experience, representing individuals and multinational companies. His practice is focused on immigration and citizenship solutions for entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals in various industries, including IT, electronics, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He also counsels companies on risk management and compliance strategies related to homeland security, the employment of foreign national workers, and international labor standards.

Luis has also been an assistant professor of Law at the University of New Brunswick in Canada, having taught in the areas of NAFTA, immigration and forced migration, and international humanitarian law. He has spoken at law conferences, including most recently at Yale and Fordham and was invited to participate in roundtable discussions at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), a Canadian think tank dedicated to global economy, global security, and international law.

Luis writes and lectures on citizenship, migration, labor mobility, international labor standards, as well as their intersection with national/regional security.
