All are welcome to experience gentle, healing yoga and powerful meditations. This group is aimed at centering and balancing the mind and body. We will focus on dynamic movement that increases flexibility, stimulates the circulatory, immune and endocrine systems, and brings energy down to your core. After doing gentle stretches, poses, and breathing, The balance of the class is dedicated to meditation and relaxation methods.
The purpose for beginning this group was to help those interested in lowering stress levels, strengthening their body, and mastering their mind. Benefits are physical, emotional and spiritual health and wellness, improved concentration, deeper rest, pain relief, and emotional balance. This group is open to beginners who have never done yoga or meditation, as well as practitioners alike. And you don't have to be extremely flexible. You also do not need a mat. Just wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.
We meet for free, Sundays at 3:00 p.m. starting in January. Meetings are located at 13878 Georgia Avenue in the Northgate Plaza Shopping Center.
