Welcome to The Expats Club of Singapore!
This is a group for people who would like to find new relationships and make new
friends in one of the most vibrant cities! It is open to singles and couples of all ages. We also welcome locals and long term residents with a global/expatriate mindset. I am hoping that we can meet for drinks, dine out and go on holidays!
It would be wonderful to build new connections and relationships and make our lives that much more fruitful and fun. Join us and change your life and ours!

Here you can see everyone from different cultures and races meeting and having a great time and this is what we tend to achieve everytime we host!
Here is how we will do things differently -
Ever since covid has occurred the world has changed ways in how we function and operate. Meeting people of various cultures has become difficult with various restrictions and with online events people rarely have the opportunity of meeting face to face and this results in not getting the right opportunity to meet in person.
We will always have hosts at all our events. You will always be greeted by someone
at all our events and introduced to others. (Warm & welcoming hosts to help you
mingle!)

We will minimize no shows by requiring attendees to pay a deposit in advance. No
shows are misleading and not fun for organizers nor for members.
We will not disguise organization costs in opaque ticket prices, commissions from
bars or inflated set menu prices.
We will instead ask for a small charge to help us manage the group and its activities. (Very transparent)
We will strive to attract a high quality membership who prefer higher quality
venues and events. We will not be driven by happy hours, free food etc (as all
of these are eventually balanced out by much higher prices later)
We will constantly request members to help us host events and take a lead on
activities so that we have energy and variety.

Gents - $20- Here’s how it will be set-up:
- We have our area booked for Meetup /CLARA
- CLARA is hosting the event. She will welcome you warmly at the venue and also introduce you to other attendees.
- First 10 attendees to arrive at the meetup will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. Members can enjoy special offer - 5 Corona bottle for 35$!
- We have 6 meetup groups in Singapore with over 52,000 members and we will be inviting members from all those groups to attend. This ensures that we always have a good number of people, with varied interests. You will meet a lot of new people. Members of other groups who RSVP are included as guests of the organiser in order to give you an idea of expected numbers.
- The age group 20/40 is an indicative guideline. You are welcome to attend if you are a few years either side of the guideline. The intent is to get like minded people together and so the age group tends to be important.
- We are not a dating group. Our events are not organised to manage your dating life. Our group is created to help ladies and gents meet other like minded ladies and gents and to make new friends. Please do not attend our event if a perfect gender balance is important for your enjoyment of our meet-up. Keep an open mind and join us to make new friends.
- Why should you attend our meetups?
- We have hosted meetups in over 30 cities world over for the last 10 years with over 50 meetups a month where 1000s of social connections, friendships and relationships have been created. We understand our member needs.
- We tend to have space earmarked for our groups so you get a comfortable and safe environment to mix and mingle at our meet-ups. Our meet-ups are well planned and organised.
- You will generally find a good gender balance (though not perfect) at all our events. Gender balance changes by city, weather, season, event type, age group etc but we try our best to achieve that.
- Our meet-ups are formally hosted and so our hosts are able to welcome you and help you with introductions with some of the other attendees and also settle down. You have absolutely no need to be apprehensive, nervous or worried about coming alone.
- We charge a minimal event cost for a couple of reasons. Our host has to be compensated for their time and work. Further safety is our priority. When we sell tickets we get a record of people attending through online payments. It provides for better behaviour and accountability. We also believe free events equal no commitment and poor behaviour. People RSVP and then don't attend. Our tickets help us improve safety, better estimate numbers, better gender mix and promote more responsible behaviour.
- Many Free events also tend to only serve the needs of organisers (and their close friends) who then use them to market their products or services or in some cases give them easy access to members of the opposite gender. We have never really seen organisers of free events do them for altruistic reasons. At most times they tend to have an undisclosed but dubious reason to do them. We don't! We only organise our events to help members and overall cover our costs.

Join us for a wonderful evening where you can meet like-minded single ladies and gents and make new friends while enjoying some fun ice breakers!
First 20 attendees to arrive at the meetup will enjoy a complimentary shot
Here's how we have planned the evening for you -
- The evening will begin with a relaxed mix & mingle time where you will be welcomed by your lovely host EVA. You will get the opportunity to meet all the attendees. About 95% of those who attend come alone and about 75% are attending for the first time. You will not be alone. We know how you may feel and so EVA, your host for the evening will help you mix and mingle with other attendees.
- Please note the ice breaker session will begin at 9.15 pm and continue till 10.00 pm so please be on time else you will miss out this part of the evening. This session is intended to ease you into a fun evening of making new friends without the awkwardness and anxiety!
- After this, we all will have a fun mix & mingle time again till 10.30 pm. This time you will already be well acquainted with the attendees and would have surely found your like-minded people in the group. You are welcome to stay back and the enjoy the evening with your new friends.

- Fast Friending: Meet like-minded ladies & gents! (18-40/Hosted)Chimi's Somerset, 313@Somerset
Join us for our Fast Friending evening to make new friendships with both ladies and gentlemen between the ages of 20 to 40!
First 10 attendees to arrive at the meetup will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. Members can enjoy special offer - 5 Corona bottle for 35$!
Expats and Nationals both are welcome! CHAR, your lovely host will welcome you warmly into the group and will also help you with introductions!
EVENT COST : (payable in cash and will be collected by CHAR at the start of the evening) - $20
- Here’s how it will be set-up:
- Half of the group (mixed gender) will be in a fixed place and the other half of the group (mixed gender) will rotate. During these intervals, each pair of people will get the opportunity to talk to each other.
- CHAR will be hosting the evening and she will organize the speed friending. She will indicate when you should move to the next person.
- We will meet at 7.00 pm and will have a mix & mingle time.
- The Speed friending part will start exactly at 7.30 pm onwards and continue till about 8.30 pm with few breaks in between, so please try and be there on time! This will again be followed by some mix & mingle time!
- We have our area booked for Meetup /CHAR
- CHAR is hosting the event. She will welcome you warmly at the venue and also introduce you to other attendees.
- First 20 attendees to arrive at the meetup will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink!
- We have 6 meetup groups in Singapore with over 52,000 members and we will be inviting members from all those groups to attend.
