As the year draw to a close and festive seasons are up ahead, why not take the time to reflect on the abundance that has been bestowed upon us thus far this year?

You may have heard that there are various types of meditation such as visualisation, mantra, contemplation and so on. But did you know that compassion, or loving-kindness meditation, is one of the simplest ways to meditate? That’s because it evokes a very natural state in us human beings which is kindness.

Loving-kindness meditation focuses on developing our goodwill, kindness and warmth not just towards others but it also helps us to harness our self-compassion. It is only when we learn to love , be gentle and forgive ourselves can we cultivate the right attitude toward others too.

In this very special session, learn how to draw yourself deeper inwards during your meditation with the help of mudras too!

Mudras are the use of hand gestures during meditation that carry specific goals of channeling your body’s energy flow. Our hands are thought to hold energetic points and thus the use of mudras is a great way to empower and ground oneself.

Dhammakamo (DK) is a meditation teacher, mindfulness coach, writer and former buddhist monk. He has been teaching meditation and building mindfulness communities since 2012. During his time as a monk, he has uncovered meditation in Thailand and traveled extensively to learn from various teachers and traditions to master the pragmatic application of ancient wisdom.

Dhammakamo’s style of presenting is insightful and light-hearted; he will attempt to bring everything back to the most fundamental. Reward yourself to a relaxing evening of spiritual nourishment.
