His clients include professionals from both private and government sectors, business owners, caregivers, school students, educators, coaches, homemakers and retirees. As an author, he has published two books ‘Garden of Mangala’ and ‘Daydreams of a Millennial Monk’. From sleaze to zen as he calls it, DK’s search for happiness and meaning began in 2011 when he felt empty in the materialistic world. That led to him uncovering meditation in Thailand and travelling extensively to learn from various teachers and traditions to master the pragmatic application of ancient wisdom. He spent most of his time living and practicing intensive meditation in the forest monasteries of Thailand, and Engaged Mindfulness and Applied Psychology in Plum Village France, the mindfulness practice centre of world-renowned Zen master and author Thich Nhat Hanh. DK also attended intensive meditation retreats in Thailand, India, Malaysia and Australia. Outside of retreats, DK continued to teach mindfulness and guiding others in meditation. He avoided intellectual discussions and presenting spirituality as a topic by translating his insights into a simple and integrated way that brings meaning and ‘zenness’ into everyday life. His light-hearted style has been well-received by his students from around the world.

  • Midweek Reset Meditation

    The Hermitage Zen

  • Total Reset with Oneness Metta Meditation

    The Hermitage Zen

It is only when you learn to love, be gentle and sincere towards yourself, can you cultivate the right attitude toward others too. Developing the mind imbued with Metta (Loving-Kindness) will not only heal yourself, but also shatter the boundaries of Self and Other, Higher and Lower Self, culminating in an immersion into Oneness; the fundamental suchness of all phenomenon. If you want to learn mindfulness and meditation, it’s best to learn it directly from the source! Having practiced both as a forest monk and now being an entrepreneur in fast-paced Singapore, DK’s insights are deeply rooted in ancient wisdom yet very relevant to modern needs. With the right understanding of meditation, you open yourself up to both the positive and negative things within you - the physical, emotional, mental habits and your own life story. Then you develop a friendly relationship towards them. Accepting yourself as a whole is the first step of healing and transformation - this is the Oneness. Then you extend this insight to your loved ones. You accept them for who they are, and water their flowers while taking care of their garbage. You don’t do this as an obligation, but with love and understanding. This invokes a deep sense of natural responsibility born from Metta. As you progress in your meditation, you expand your mindfulness and wisdom wider into the world. Because you see no separation between the world and yourself, you can let go of judgement and instead, think and act with compassion. Discerning that the universe is no-different than your mind consciousness, you will begin to notice that the energy of every thought, every action, begins and ends its echo in your own mind. Come join former monk DK’s evening meditation session specially tailored to nourish your mind with tranquility and inner wisdom. Whether you are a new or seasoned meditator, this session will definitely benefit you. It is rare these days to find a meditation teacher that actually embodies the practice. So come and sit in his presence and experience for yourself! You will experience zenness and have the opportunity to pick his brains for wisdom that can be applied into your life. You can start creating a positive change in your own life with one mindful breath, one mindful step and one mindful smile. Each breath a step, you will restores peace and radiate joy in your world. Have you ever thought of just casting everything aside and dissolving away? We play so many different roles and identities in our daily lives that can throw us off balance.
