Tell us a bit about yourself

I am the founder of Big Life Pte Ltd. My first startup was a spectacular failure that cost me a neat sum. I did everything that my MBA and Engineering degrees taught me but it turned out they weren't suitable for start-ups. After that experience, I was determined to find a less risky method of starting new businesses. I chanced upon the Lean Startup methodology and was converted to it. I have since implemented it to launch TaskIsland.com and at only a fraction of the cost of my first website. I am now a fervent evangelist of the Lean Startup Methodology. I recently participated in the Lean Startup Machine workshop held in Singapore and led my team to be within the Top 3 positions of the competition. I am also a Certified Master Coach and has been coaching executives, business owners and individuals for the past 4 years. Before I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey, I was a scholar with the Ministry of Defence and a stay-at-home dad.

Are you involved in a startup or interested in starting one in the near future?

Yes

What's the name of your venture/company?

www.LeanStart.Me

Can you briefly say what you want from this group?

After going through what I went through, I realised that ideas are easy but acting on wrong ideas can be quite costly. This is why I'm zealous to pass on what I've learnt to others so they won't have to go through what I went through. I would also love to learn how others are implementing the Lean Startup principles in Singapore and how they feel about using it in real life on their startups.

Introduction

I'm a Lean Startup Evangelist and the Founder of The Testing Ground.
