Apologies as the screening date is long overdue. We were busy in Project 3 doing 3 short films. The project has wrapped so we have a few weeks of rest. I hope to be able to arrange for the screening of some of the events listed here. Since many of you who have rsvped for this event had done so months ago, I would appreciate if you can update your rsvp if you are still keen or change to No so that others can come in your place. Thanks and I look forward to meeting you guys soon.

Read this before rsvping. Please take note that when you rsvp for a movie, you must take the responsibility to change it if your plans have changed at least a day before the screening as there will be others who are deprived of a placing because you have rsvped. Please do not treat the event as something that you do only if you have nothing better to do on that day and can just skip it if you don't feel like it. The organizers take efforts to arrange and do it voluntarily so the least you have do is to show up or change your rsvp. If you end up as a no show in 2 events, you will be blacklisted and removed from the group!

Movie Info : The rousing, true-life story of a single dad who went from living on the streets to owning his own brokerage firm is brought to the big screen by superstar Will Smith, appearing for the first time opposite his real-life son Jaden Smith. Set in early-'80s San Francisco, the film charts the hard times and eventual comeback of Chris Gardner, a suddenly single salesman who has custody of his son, but finds that providing for the two of them is a challenge in the increasingly unstable economic climate. He struggles to work his way from unpaid intern at Dean Witter to something more substantial, even as life continues to offer him setbacks. Making his Hollywood debut, Italian director Gabriele Muccino was championed by Will Smith for the project. ~ Michael Hastings, Rovi
