At 4.25 square kilometres (1.64 sq mi), Shiga-kōgen is one of the largest ski resorts in Japan and the world. The resort is made up of many smaller, interconnected resorts, with 71 lifts in total. A few areas were restricted to skiers only (the Okushigakogen and Yokoteyama resorts), but in winter[masked] all of Shiga-kōgen were open to skiers and snowboarders. The resort was the site of several events in the 1998 Nagano Olympics.

Day 1 Sat (18 Feb) - D
Arrive Tokyo Narita Airport at 6:15am, transfer to Nagano and check in hotel at around 3pm
Day 2 – Day 3 Sun to Mon(19 – 20 Feb) – B/D
(You are free to opt for more day ski)
Ski or Snowboard activities for 2-full day. Rental of Jacket and pants at around 2000 Yen; one-piece suit around 1000 Yen; helmet at around 900 Yen. Total of around S$40 only

Day 4 Tue (21 Feb) – B/D
Visit the infamous Snow Monkeys, these darling of Nagano have been drawing hordes of tourists every year. Delighting all by their adorable and playful nature in their thick fur amidst this beautiful valley; chilling out and frolicking in the outdoor Onsen bath every winter. They've definitely added colour to this town with their congregation in and around the pools for warmth with the daily supply of barley and soybeans by the kind care takers in the park.
Day 5 Wed (22 Feb) – B/D
Immerse ourselves in the winter atmosphere of Nagano in the legendary ninja town, one of the most hidden is Togakushi village. Actually, there are many interesting stuff to do in this place that have nothing to do with ninjas at all.
The Togakushi Shrine has enshrined the mountain deities for many centuries. It boasts a pathway lined on both sides with about 300 four-century-old cedar trees extending 500 meters, and the precincts are filled with mystic beauty.
Drop by one of the several soba restaurants and relish the local specialty, soba or buckwheat noodles. Lucky visitors may witness soba-making demonstration, the Togakushi soba is not to be missed.
Day 6 Thur (23 Feb) – B
Transfer to Tokyo city, check in hotel. Time for shopping and buying souvenirs for love ones at home.
Day 7 Fri (24 Feb)
Free and easy with recommended places of interest:

• Ghibli Museum
Day 8 Sat (25 Feb)
After breakfast, commute to airport for 1145am flight.
