    The Hive Carpenter

Hello Quantumers! Our sixth Meetup is on Thursday October 18th from 6:00 - 8:00pm, and it will be located at the brand new location of The Hive, 36 Carpenter Street. Clarke Quay and Raffles Square MRT stations are all 5 minutes walk away. This month we have a special guest, A/Prof Daniel Terno, from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Danny's work sits at the intersection of quantum information, computing, and general relativity, so expect a very exciting night of discussions! And just to make you all a little bit more curious, the title of the talk is "The Red Herring, the Qubit and the Black Hole". The talk will be starting at 6.30pm, in order to leave enough time and room for discussions and networking afterwards. Directions: The entrance is in Carpenter Street 36; the talk will be at the second floor in the common area, access via the elevator.
