Divorce Recovery: support and discussion
Find help and healing for the pain of losing a significant relationship. That may be divorce, separation or never-married. Christian or non-christian; the pain is all the same. Our Divorce Recovery Group is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through this alone. You have so many negative things to deal with; you need some good coming in. We can help. Don't let the number of RSVPs fool you! Twelve or more people attend each week. Many come from other groups and regulars tend not to rsvp. We utilize three video series in this group. First is DivorceCare, followed by Changes That Heal (by Henry Cloud), then the award winning Boundaries (written by Henry Cloud and John Townsend). All are excellent studies. Give us three weeks and you will be looking forward to Wednesday evenings. Our group is safe, confidential and supportive. We address the REAL issues-anger, humiliation, frustration, confusion, sex, depression, loneliness, forgiveness, finances, children, etc. And yet, we find the ability to laugh, because of the love and acceptance between us. The DivorceCare series is conducted and attended by people who understand what you are experiencing. Each session is self-contained so you may join in at any time. When you feel the LEAST like attending, THAT is when you need to be there the MOST! You WILL feel better for having made it to class. At 4:30-6:00 pm, there is a reasonably priced snack bar and a $5 buffet available, downstairs. Grab something and bring it to the group. The video starts at 6:30 pm and class ends at 8:00 pm. Come to as many sessions as you can. Come early, if possible. Do NOT let missing some classes or being late keep you from coming to the group. To "ARRANGE" for free childcare, CALL the church at[masked]. Sadly, there is no childcare during the summer. However, there is DC4K (DivorceCareFor Kids) for children, ages 5-12 years old. See the DC4K listing for all the details. All other questions/concerns, please contact Jenny Lou at [masked] or call[masked] (NO texts!!!).
