This group is for people looking to meet singles who want to have the maximum positive impact on the lives of the maximum number of people! You can improve your community and beyond, reach out to people in need, and feel good about being a positive influence in the world. “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” ― Maya Angelou

We organize over 60 fundraisers each year, all over the Bay Area, to benefit The Seva Foundation (http://www.seva.org), based in Berkeley CA, to restore sight to the blind. Every $50 we raise finances a cataract surgery in one of the poor countries of the world!

Please spread the word to all of your friends about joining this meetup, so that together we can help 15 million people worldwide, who tragically are blind because they don't have even $50 for this sight-restoring surgery.

Please let us know if you would like to volunteer at any of our events. And also let us know if you would like to organize a meetup to benefit others.

What meditation technique is used?

The gentle and easy technique shared is known as 'Sahaja Yoga' meditation and is practiced in more than 100 countries and is always free. It was founded in 1970 by- Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. When practiced for 10 minutes a day it can lead to dramatic positive change in your personal life - even after one week of practice!

What happens after this class?

These recurring classes are meant to come together and meditate and learn little by little, so please plan to join them every week for growth in your meditative state and practice. You are equipped with knowledge to start practicing from day 1. As you join us for subsequent classes you are taken forward in meditation practice. In case you are unable to join a class, don't worry and rejoin any time and you can always start afresh.

Need help cooking dinner for homeless women and kids living in San Jose shelter

Hello Volunteers,

Please call or text me 2 days before event and let me know what you like to cook.

I hope you all staying safe and healthy: Shelter manager called and emailed me that volunteers should deliver food due to corona virus.

After spoken to the manager I learned that they actually need more help than ever. Their meals are usually from Churches, restaurants, and individual volunteer groups like us. Due to Covid-19 most of these stopped as you know.

I spend around $ 300 to buy groceries or $ 400 to buy food from Costco or around $ 800 to buy food from restaurants.

I am thinking to cook food at home like last month (currently 50 adults and kids are living at this shelter. We cook usualy for 100 people, this way they will have food foe Monday lunch). If you are willing to cook some dishes please message me [masked]). Thank you.
