Festival of Colors 2014

Update at[masked]: The Festival was postponed to April 5th Saturday. I already have plans on that day. So I am not able to attend the festival. Enjoy yourself.

What is Holi? Lots of color. Everywhere.

It’s a free festival celebrating love – and the power of love to bring all good things into our lives. It is held in early spring and signifies new life, new growth, new beginnings.
Holi, therefore, reminds us to color our life with love, faith, and a generous spirit. It calls us to give and receive. And best of all, it just great fun. We get lost in color, forget about our usual identity, and experience life – and each other – from a whole new perspective.

Bring cash for parking, food, and colored powder. Bring an extra change of clothes. Wear clothes (preferably white) that you're willing to throw away.

You can reach me by texting me at[masked]-0480. See a colorful you at the Festival!!!

I am new to DC is it possible to get to this via Metro?

Amanda, I don't think it is Metro accessible. If you are really serious about going, I can pick you up at a metro on my way in.(a stop between Vienna & Potomac, so I don't have to double back). I can look at a map & figure out which stop.

Thank you for the offer I didn't see it until now. I ended up having to cover for someone at work. I was disappointed I hope you all had fun. Thank you again.

You can't park at the temple. They gave you drive all the way back to bethesda where they are runnif shuttles. Save time and head to:

Okay folks, I don't know about you but I still want to go to this (noticed several people backed out). I even "liked" their Facebook page, which seems to give more details than their website. For instance, the color throws are EVERY hour. "Colors are thrown continuously from 11-4 and the large color throws are at noon, 1, 2, 3, and 3:30"". How about we meet for a large color throw for 1pm. We can meetip about 12:50. That will give me time to stop by the thrift store & buy some white pants, lol. It is going to be a BEAUTIFUL day.

How fun! I had heard about this festival & was maybe planning on going anyways! How much more fun in a group. There is a lot going on that day, but I think I'm going to chose this.
