Ski or Board in Austria at Christmas

  • Chalet Hotel St Christoph

    St Christoph, St Anton (map)

  • I am thrilled to have the opportunity to ski the Arlberg Region, St Anton,  where Singlesport started; I have been trying to find suitable accommodation here for years. We found it last season & enjoyed it so much we immediately booked to return at Xmas 2015 and  2016.

Ski in, ski out is very unusual in the area  but we have achieved it by staying in a large chalet/hotel in St Cristoph complete with pool & sauna & of course free wine with dinner.. This is the best of both worlds because St Christoph is an ideal place to start your ski day right on the piste but it is also on the bus route to Lech & Zurs & so if you want to visit these upmarket resorts with its warm chair lifts favoured by Bridget Jones et al , that’s easy too.

St Anton arguably offers the best après in the world & if you want to visit the famous Mooserwirt & Krazy Kanguruh on the St Anton nursery slopes you can enjoy some fun over drinks in the afternoon and then you can get back to St Christoph on the free ski bus just in time for dinner. Alternatively you can hit the lively après ski after dinner in St Anton by taxi as its inexpensive for the 4km trip.

St Christoph is the home of the famous Hospiz (that’s the one where you slide down to the loos but still have to walk back up!) where we treat ourselves to lunch sometimes

This holiday will suit all ages from 20s right through to seniors and as its Christmas its ideal for single parents who want to ski with their grown up children like mine Lisa & Justin who are in their 20/30s .

Hi Ruth and everyone. I have just joined the group and would love to go on this Christmas trip. I have made a booking on the website and I guess I will be on the waiting list, as the website says the hotel is full. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something comes up for me! Looking forward to meeting you all and enjoying some skiing! All the best.
