Snow shoeing and skiing in Bansko, Bulgaria
Come with us for a weeks snowshoeing in Bansko Bulgaria for £299. Learn how to snow shoe in a ski resort, have great company, fine food and lots of fun exercise. We have training walks/talks (kit you need and safety) for you before this holiday, practice and get fit ready for this great week in Bansko. Whilst you are on the trip eat loads of great food and still lose weight, get to know like minded people all while having fun. So what is this about? Its doing something different in a place you may never have though of visiting. Just book your flight (Manchester with easyjet - around a £100) The rest I organise......... airport pickup, transport, food, accommodation and routes, I’ll even book snow shoes for you if you haven’t bought your own before hand. We stay in Disalitza on the ground floor, where we have a lovely fire in the evening to relax and sit round and chat about the days snowshoeing and other activities. Wander into the lovely garden and star gaze with a nice glass of wine in your hand…. It’s a lovely place to be. Use our sauna and steam room and gym down stairs, family atmosphere. You might also decide to have a day skiing. Your choice Day off mid week to relax, Visit hot mineral pools in Banya, 15 minutes drive away, ice skating in Bansko. Remember its not just about snow shoeing, you need a rest day. The itinerary below is a guide, you don't have to go on every days trek, as a group we can decide to do something different if you decide to. Tell me to ease up on distance or height gain if you find its too challenging. Itinerary:- Our first day (Sat) arrive -Sofia airport, drive to Bansko, quick tour round Bansko to get our bearings, afternoon cake and hot drinks and a chat about the coming week. Evening meal round the table and a relax by the fire before turning in to get some sleep for the next day. Day 2 (Sunday) Not too early a start time zone might effect you ....Great breakfast then we will be getting our snow legs and doing a fairly easy walk, maybe a bit of snow shoeing instruction for those who have never done it before. Day 3 (Monday) Early start, hearty breakfast then a trek in the mountains. About 4-6 hours out in the snow, with a quick stop in a hut if we are close to one. Distance and severity depends on what we have decided before hand… relax in the Sauna, before drinks and dinner and the off to bed for a well earned sleep. Day 4 (Tuesday) Early start, hearty breakfast . Same distance as the day before, back down for a steam followed by dinner and bed. Day 5 (wed) Rest day... late breakfast, then its your choice, options -mineral pools, wander around Bansko, ice skating, chilling sitting in a café . Then out to a lovely restaurant for traditional food and maybe some music and singing and dancing. This dinner you have to pay for, all of the others at the apartment are accounting for in the cost. Day 6 (Thursday) Early start, hearty breakfast then out for a trek. Possibly something a bit more adventurous, or even a day skiing. Day 7 (Friday) A long day out on the hill bagging some amazing peaks and getting our last day snow shoeing before we think about packing and going back. A final sauna and our last evening meal together on this holiday Day 8(Sat) Breakfast at 7am, leave by 8am ready for our flight at midday YOUR SEPARATE COSTS So flight will cost about £100 return if you book quickly (this is your responsibility) Snow shoes hire is about 20 leva a day (£7), The £299 pppw covers Bansko accommodation, Car transport, food except Wednesday night out, (a dinner out cost 20-40 levs so at present about £10 to £20 each and I’m talking about a three course meal with average alcohol)plus any extra activities- Banya mineral pool is about 10 levs(£4) Accommodation - bunks 4 in a room. Deposits of £100 will be required when you book.
