How did you become interested in philosophy?

My interest in philosophy began with an interest in primatology, environmentalism, naturalism, and ecology, all morphing when I became a docent at my local zoo (philadelphia). Although my background is in education (I have a MA in learning disabilities teaching/consulting, after years as a special education teacher), a personal/profound life situation/relationship introduced me to proper philosophical theory, building upon my lifelong engagement with knowledge, and profoundly influencing my clarity of thought.

What areas of philosophy interest you the most?

I would say existentialism, pragmatism, naturalism, theories of evolution, education, peaceful anarchy and atheism.

Good morning. My interest in evolutionary theory took me to this meet up group/an event posting.
