Palo Alto Baylands, 5 Hikes: Easy 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- AND 5-Mile (Dog-Friendly)

Very easy slow-paced hike along the Baylands in Palo Alto where we will see several different species of shore birds as we travel out and back the same route along the levees on a completely flat gravel path starting from the gated trailhead at the dead-end of San Antonio Rd North at the intersection of San Antonio Rd North Terminal Blvd.

Individuals can feel free to walk back to the trailhead when they wish, while other participants can continue to walk.

No parking fee. Plenty of parking.

Bring water. You may wish to bring layers since it tends to be windy out on the bay.

Directions: From 101 take San Antonio Road North until it dead ends.

Meeting location: At trailhead at the end of San Antonio Rd and Terminal Blvd, Palo Alto.

It was an easy hike to talk with people. Not the most scenic, perhaps, but conducive to conversation.

I am also delayed by an appointment thing I'll pass on this hike, as I also have pains in my stomach and don't want to pass on stomach flu, which I think it may be! Have fun!

I am delayed at an appointment in San Jose. I should be on my way in 10 minutes. Is there a way to meet up with you along the way? I will probably get there at 1:15.

Looks like it will be closer to 1:30, so I guess I will have to miss this one. Sorry!

Wondering how many of you are coming with dogs? Mine loves to snoop as we hike, and I don't want to hold anyone back. (or hike alone ! ha ha)

Sorry. I was looking forward to meeting everyone but I'm still recovering from a cold and don't want to risk passing it on.
