Slow Session 26
Join us at the next Slow Session which will take place in the Members Hut of the City Road Allotment Association. This Meetup Group is ideal for people who enjoy playing Scottish and Irish Folk Music together at beginner and intermediate level. There are tea and coffee making facilities and you could even bring your own bottle if you are in the mood :) We would appreciate a small donation (£1/ person) to the Association to pay for light and heating.

What we're about

Traditional Scottish, Irish and English Folk Music sessions at a slower pace. Ideal for beginner and intermediate players, but everyone wanting to play (+/- sing) welcome!

With facilitator (session lead). Sheet music allowed. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and without an audience.

The sessions take place at the Members Hut, City Road Allotments, City Road, Dundee DD2 2BJ. The entrance gate to the allotment is on City Road just opposite Pitfour Street.

Sundays 5 -7 PM around once a month. They often follow folk concerts organised by the Dundee Acoustic Music Club (DAMC) at the Roseangle Café. Tea and coffee making facilities available. You could also bring your own bottle if in the mood.

Free participation but a small contribution (£1) for light and heating would be welcomed.

Please don't be put off by the appearingly low number of attendees: most participants of the Slow Sessions are not connected via Meetup. We usually have between 10 and 16 musicians coming together for each Slow Session :)

For additional information, link to dropbox with music sheets, list of sets, tips for beginners: please contact the organiser Heike ( ) .

For more info about the pre-session concerts etc.: please check the DAMC Facebok page
