17 Ave. and 69 Street SW, Calgary, AB
More Details to come closer to the event. AT this time it's still a bit tentative, but here's the skelly plan.
You can join us for any of the events, or all three. If we are not already going to be in the area, (I will look for Hotel and/or Hostel deals.) there will only be one car pool that will leave early and come back after dinner.
Here's the skinny:
Norquay has a "Santa* Shreds for Free" tradition and it's a lot of fun. If you want to escape to the Mountains and get silly, this will appeal to you. We'll have a "joke**" gift exchange at lunch.
*You can also dress as Mrs. Claus, an Elf or a Reindeer, but they must be more than a Hat.
**It should be in the $5-$10 range, & be something fun and/or frivolous that would make a person smile and/or laugh. The theme is joyful. :D
From their website:
If all you want for Christmas is to ski or snowboard for free, then you’re in luck!
Join us for the fourth annual Santa Shreds for Free! On Christmas Day (December 25th) anyone dressed up as the Jolly St. Nick (or Mrs. Claus, or a Reindeer or an Elf)* will receive a free full day pass!
*guests MUST be in full costume (just your Santa hat doesn’t qualify)
HO HO HO!!!
Then afterward we'll head to the Hot Springs to clean up before Dinner, which will be at The Grizzly House for a "Fondue" dinner. You can order what you like, but that's what we'll be having.
If you want to indicate interest, please post a message to let me know.
