From the 4 way stop on HWY 22 next to Bragg Creek, take HWY 22 south to a T intersection. Turn right (westbound) on HWY 66. Travel 11.0 km west down HWY 66 to Station Flats. Station Flats is located on the right hand side of the road past the Elbow River bridge and Allan Bill Parking.
A classic Elbow Valley Trail that provides a little bit of everything as it travels across open meadows, through trees, with short quick descents and climbs.
Distance: Approximately 13 km.
Elevation Gain: Approximately 235 meters.
Accumulated Elevation Gain: Approximately 530 meters.
Pace: We will move at a steady pace, stopping for clothing changes and rest and hydration breaks when required.
Group Size: 10
Required Gear: Your hiking boots, backpack with lunch, snacks and water, winter hiking gear (layers, gloves, toque), personal first aid kit. No cotton. MICROSPIKES ARE MANDATORY - few icy spots on trail
Recommended Gear: Gaiters, hiking poles.
Suggested Gas Contribution: $10.00 if ride sharing from Calgary. Please make arrangements for ride sharing using the comments section or private messaging.
