What we're about

Small Paws for a Big Cause (SPBC) is an incredible group of dedicated small-dog parents who want to develop lasting friendship with other empathetic and committed small-dog lovers as we make a big difference in the lives of small dogs at animal rescue facilities. SPBC will host monthly meetings (virtual and in-person) so we can meet new friends, socialize our small pups with pint-sized companions, improve the lives of our pups and develop strategies to help improve the lives of small dogs in a shelter settings. ALL proceeds (after expenses) from our fundraising efforts and our paid doggie events will be dispersed to reputable rescue organizations who are improving the lives of small-breed pups and their humans, too!

If you have a friendly puppy or small dog (under 20 pounds), are passionate about helping dogs in shelters find forever homes, and want to change the world—one small dog at a time—please join our group today! We need kind-hearted and committed owners like you and adorable small dogs like yours! Benefits of joining our group are: lots of fun activities, access to a small-breed blog, private Facebook group, and more!

Active dog members (those who frequently attend our events) will receive cool prizes (like dog toys and treats). They can keep these goodies for themselves or donate them their favorite animal rescue organization. Join today! Free and paid events will be held all over Chicago and the suburbs, so everyone can get involved.
