  • In this multi-month series we will go through the steps of assembling and programming your first (or second?) robot. We will put together low cost kits, learn the basics of electronics and programming, add the controller and drivers, then discover sensor options. We will finalize this series of workshops with a friendly competition.

These workshops are scheduled after newly shortened robotics club meeting. They are intended for those who are interested getting started in robotics but we believe anyone will enjoy.

Please purchase and arrive with a kit like this: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01BXPETQG

.. please set your smile to support SnoCo Makerspace!

There are multiple variations on Amazon similar that you can use. Search amazon for "Robot Chassis". It should cost you 12-14$. We will purchase a few for people to catch up or don't use Amazon but don't bank on us having one for you; contact us if you would like for us to reserve you one.

    Price: Free

A donation to the makerspace; tools, consumables or cash are recommended if your disposable income allows for it.

Please see these important workshop guidelines before RSVPing: http://snocomakers.com/documents/WorkshopGuidelines.pdf We are looking for people to host workshops; do you have a maker-related skill basic or advanced you could share with others? Charge what you like for a workshop, we will help you with attracting members, and providing space. We ask for 50% of the workshop fees after your expenses or the entire amount can be credited as membership dues.
