Effective verbal communication is composed of a complex hierarchy of skills. Long before children speak their first words, they use these skills to communicate with those around them. Join us to learn more about early communication development and how you can support your child, including specific activities and strategies you can use at home!
Our speaker , Jennifer Johns is a speech pathologist and owner of Snohomish Speech and Language. She has nearly 20 years experience working with children from toddlerhood to adolescence. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington ans her master's degree from Weastern Washington University, and went on to work in local schools and multidisciplinary clinics before opening a local practice in 2009. She is particularly interesting in Autism, motor speech disorders, and early communication skills and has extensive continuing education in these and other areas of communication.
