We're just a (not for profit) group of She-Dawgs, He-Dawgs, and Wee-Dawgs trying to get out and play in, talk about, or travel to, the snow. We go skiing/boarding at Mammoth, Mt. High, Big Bear, Tahoe, and anywhere else we have an itch to try. Our goal is to give you as many chances as possible to get out on the planks of your choice! We also 'meetup' at other events/places that we may find interesting as well as set up interesting events during the off season to help everyone keep in touch. To become/remain a member of Snow Dawgs you MUST have a current photo of yourself included in your profile so that our organizers will know who to look for at the events. It does not have to be your primary photo, just included so that they can find it. (Remember you can modify your profile for each individual meetup group that you are a member of.)
STANDING SNOW DAWG CHALLENGE!! Each time you see a disabled skier/boarder on the mountain, SNOW DAWGS challenges you to make a donation to DISABLED SPORTS EASTERN SIERRA. Let's make it easier for EVERYONE to get on the mountain and enjoy the slopes!!
First time on the slopes? New to the snow? Then please feel free to check out our 'First Timer's Guide for the Slopes', 'Tips for Traveling to Mammoth Mountain', and 'Tips to try for Altitude Sickness' lists in our pages sections, as well as links to checklists which include 'How To Ski by Lasse Lyck', 'The Perfect Ski Size/Length Chart', a 'Going Skiing' checklist, a 'Going Boarding' checklist, a 'Going To The Slopes' general checklist, a 'How To Find The Right Helmet' checklist, and more.
