Snowboard/Ski Trip to Lake Tahoe - Squaw Valley, Heavenly, Northstar, and more!
Are you ready to kick off the snowboarding season staying at Heavenly ( in Lake Tahoe. I can't wait for another phenomenal winter season! I have the Ikon Pass so plan to hit up Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows! I picked this location because we had SO much fun the last few trips; it definitely felt like a vacation at the luxury resort we're staying at. And across the street (literally) is some Nevada casinos! :) I booked a week at Marriott Timber Lodge (, one of the nicest resorts in Lake Tahoe and it has direct access to the Heavenly Gondola. I plan to arrive on Wednesday, 12/12. We will stay until Sunday, 12/16. You can arrive anytime from Wednesday on. The cost is $300 per person from Wed to Sunday, $275 per person from Thu to Sunday or the weekend for $250. The $$$ we put together is for lodging and some breakfast items along with snacks and other goodies around the house (cheers!). Please budget for transportation to Lake Tahoe, lunch and dinners, and lift tickets, etc. The reservation is based on FIRST PAID and has a limited number of people (gender balanced). Whoever pays first will be on the "go" list. If you RSVP yes but don't submit payment your spot is not confirmed and I may move you to the "not attending" list without any further explanation because only a payment (not just an RSVP) locks in your spot. Transportation: I plan to fly to Tahoe (Reno airport). For those that are driving, I can help coordinate carpool. :) If you fly into Reno you can easily get to Tahoe for about $26 via a direct shuttle: This event is cross-posted on many meetup groups with Mix Professionals ( being the main meetup. Therefore I need to centralize all the confirmed attendees in one group. In order to lock in your spot you MUST RSVP and submit payment via my main meetup group by going here: You are not confirmed for the trip until you RSVP via the main group AND submit payment. Let me know if you have any other questions!

What we're about

Let's go outdoors. Snowboard and ski in the winter and hiking and camping in the summer. Are you adventures and looking for friends to do various outdoor activities with. We are too. We started as a snowboarding group but have now ventured into outdoor adventures and more! We love winter sports and enjoy summer adventures as well. When there is snow, we hit up the slopes. In warmer months, we keep up the fun through hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and other outdoor adventures.

If you don't snowboard or ski, want to learn or enjoy outdoor adventures, we welcome you too!

Get ready to meet with local snowboarders and adventurers! Feel free to post trips & plan event with other snowboarders and outdoors enthusiasts via the message board or email. We will also meet up now & then to share boarding and outdoors stories & ideas about resorts, vacations, equipment, etc. We will do happy hours, social networking and other fun things too!

*We snowboard and/or ski in Mammoth. If not Mammoth, we do local trip such as Mt. Baldy and Big Bear Mountain (Snow Summit and Bear Mountain). We don't discourage venturing to Vail, Aspen, Park City, Whistler, etc. The possibility is endless. Join us. If you are fun, adventurous, love the snow and the outdoors and cool adventures, and enjoy social networking, we welcome you! :)

We are getting ready for our first snowboarding/skiing trip of the year. Are you itching to go snowboarding or skiing? I sure am. I can't wait! Snowboarding. Yeppy!

Mammoth Mountain opens November 8 just in time for the three-day Veterans Day Weekend and we will be there! This will be the third season we have been going as a group and I must say that we have had a ton of fun and made great friends. What I really like about our trips is that the people who go are all great people looking to hang out on and off the slopes!

We have a luxurious condo for the three day weekend. And did I mention the food? Included with the trip are dinners... not frozen pizza, canned soup and microwaved fishsticks, but yummy cooked dinners such as tri-tip, rack of lamb, fresh veggies and dessert!

I checked Mammoth's website and they have season passes on sale until November 10. After that the price will probably double! If you get a pass while it's on sale you can definitely make good use of it on this and other trips we are planning

If you don't think you want to ski or snowboard the entire weekend, there is still plenty of cool stuff to do. Ever been to Mono Lake and seen the tufas? It's like you're on another planet! Ever hiked into a volcano crater? Or what about hotsprings? Who doesn't like hotsprings?
