"Who Were Your Ancestors and How Did They Fit in
in Rural Society in Patrimonial Times?"
by Frank Vogel
Now you’re asking, what does that mean? Our very own Frank Vogel will be sharing some of his personal and in-depth knowledge of the characteristics of social levels in villages and towns in our homelands in the second half of the nineteenth century.
Since just about everyone’s ancestors lived in a village or small town, we are often puzzled by terms such as domkář, půlláník, etc. we find in old family documents.
Frank will help us understand more about rural society and the social status of our ancestors in that society.
Please RSVP by Thursday, October 3 to Beverly Evans at [masked]
Note on your calendar our holiday meeting will be on Sunday, December 8.
