If it wasn't so far for a day trip I would show up. Going to hit up Stoddard wells. See if I fixes my bike or not before the next miller canyon ride.

OK all it looks like we will be down about a mile past the fenced in trash dumpsters on the right. Look for a lighted snowman on the top of an RV.

Cory - are you camping in the big area by the fenced in trash dumpsters or further down the road?

    • Cory

Dave will be out there first but suppose to be further down on left or right? Depends on what they find.

    Hi Cory,

    Thanks for the response!

Is there a mini-bike course near the camp where I can have the kids ride or is it all “free-riding” around the camp ? Please let me know. Bryan B.

Bryan - most of the south end of Ocotillo - where we'll all be this weekend - is fairly flat and rock free where most people camp. Like our camp for instance - usually has 5 to 15 motor homes, trailers, etc. - the kids ride around camp and are fairly well protected from others passing by - although you can never protect 100%. As a general rule - there will be plenty of area for the kids to ride with no problem. We also do a lot of group rides - we put the kids in the middle - with the adults in front of and behind them. Bring em out - ya'll will have a blast.

Hey everyone. I'm out here now and it is windy like a mo' fo'. The temp at night is freezing cold too so make sure you bring lots of warm clothes and hot drinks. Other than that definitely having a great time and waiting for any sign of life :)

I'm sporting a pink pirate princess flag and monster golf cart at the intersection of county line road and San Felipe wash. Swing by and say what's up. I'll be having a huge group swing by for a ride coming from Long Beach on Saturday/Sunday.

Hello, My name is Bryan and I'm trying to find a dirt bike riding club that is family oriented. I have a 6, 11 and 14 year old that are just starting out on their dirt bikes.. Can you please give me a brief description of your typical camping trip and what activities you may have for kids? Thanks in advance!

      Bryan,

This trip will be family oriented and there will be at least five other kids attending as far as I know. I do not plan activities except to ride and have fun. We will be doing a pot luck dinner and I have some fire works for the first. A couple other families will be bring their dogs as will we and I am pretty sure the kids always have fun. Not all trips are kid friendly though. With 350 members there are a wide variety of trips that get planned. Come on out and join us I am sure you guys will meet like minded families to ride with.

It's OK for "Red Sticker" bikes to ride all SVRAs and Natl Forest trails as your season starts October 1st and ends April 30th.

You will need to have a USFS-approved Spark Arrestor for all OHV areas other than private MX tracks: Rangers do check for them.
