Fritz Coleman is NBC4's weathercaster on the weekday editions of "Channel 4 News," airing at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. A Southern California broadcasting icon, Coleman is well known for his sense of humor and extensive knowledge of weather.

A long-time stand-up comic, Coleman has performed at The Improv's, The IceHouse and other Southern California comedy clubs. He has utilized his humor in a number of series and specials that have aired on NBC over the years.  He received four Emmy Awards for those shows.

He has also made a number of appearances on the "Tonight Show" .

Cindy Burns is a 25 year old trapped in the body of a 58 year old.

"I used to be the kind of girl that said you can look but don't touch. I'm at age now where you can touch but don't look!"

Make no mistake , this 5'1" 100 pound brunette is hot... only now it comes in flashes.

Trying desperately to maintain a positive attitude as she watches her youth slip away, you get the feeling she could snap at any time.

Cindy has appeared on Oprah and the Tonight Show.

She created, produces and performs with the "Funniest Housewives of Orange County". The show is inspired by a cast of strong funny and fabulous femme fatale's who do it Standing-Up!

Samantha Berglund

One of the rising new faces in Orange County comedy, Samantha has already graced stages all across the Southland bringing a unique style and insight into everyday life. She has performed at the Improv, Comedy Station, Coach House and pretty much any stage she can get up on!

Kato Kaelin

While primarily known for something else, many people are unaware that Kato was originally a comic and comic actor before he was thrust into that unfortunate spotlight. He has appeared in 44 films (at last count) and over 50 television shows either as a character or as himself. He has performed with Bill Mahr and been on the Howard Stern show. Kato also has a very successful mens clothing line, described as Lounge Wear.

Cindy Burns, is Hilarious. I saw her at Old World near Bella Terra and I can so relate to her comedy. Thanks Rico Fischer for having so many shows for others to receive the gift of laughter. Life is full of tragedy turned to comedy.

I went last night to Old World and there was nothing there on wednesday that is when I attended. The waitress said there is only one friday night show that they will have there.

A funny show! This was my second time and both shows were really good. However, both times it was chaotic out front and turned into a mob pushing in. Can't the Improv put up a separate rope for the Meet up group? And, actually let us in first? We do get there early. Thanks again, Jim, for a laugh-filled show!

I had actually managed the total RSVPs to around 600 by Sunday night. Allowing for a no show factor of 30 percent (its usually closer to 50) meant we would be ok. But some people who had 5 tickets showed up with 10 people, one brought 20+ from work, and a couple of groups had posted it as an event and I didn't know about it. So my 600 manageable number became an unmanageable 750+. I still had 30 percent no show, but that meant over 100 people didn't get in.

I had 400 people already from my own mailing list too.

OMG Fritz Coleman was amazing! hilarious! way too funny! we were rolling in laughter!!!! I had no idea how great he would be...as for it being cliquish I have to disagree. Jim makes all efforts to tell people to meet out front of the meetup and i have met some wonderful new friends and getting there early is key! because we end up all standing around and we get to talking and ergo....end up going in together...I will make an effort to look for stragglers in the future and please look for me! :) I am sorry ML had to sit alone...we would have loved to sit with him...

Just a warning from an ex-member...some people are cliquish and make no attempt to talk to "strangers" coming for their first time. First (and last) time I went, it was my first time...tried to sit with a group where there was an empty chair and was told it was being held for "a friend who called and said she was coming", so I sat alone at the closest available table next to "the group". A couple of ladies came together and sat at the table next to mine on my other side, even though there was plenty of room at "my table". I ended up sitting between 2 tables of "friends" all by myself all night, not knowing anyone, but everyone else seemed to know each other. Didn't think the event was much fun eating and laughing by myself. There doesn't seem to be a "group leader" who goes around making people comfortable and trying to merge tables... Just wanted to forewarn you. It might be better now, but personally I won't risk wasting an evening again in lonesome agony.

HI ML, sorry you had an unpleasant experience. Some people are cliquish and some people are not. You will find that in any group. At every event I host I provide my cell phone number for any member to contact me in case they don't know anybody. And I always try to introduce them to other members. If someone shows up at the last minute there is not much I can do, but if they get there early, and contact me, I always make the effort to get them comfortable. If Meet Up members want to sit together they have that option. the Improv generally lets Meet Up in through the second door and seats everyone together. Some members prefer to sit with their own friends. its a win win for everyone. As far as merging or reserving tables, the venue does not allow me to do that. But if Meet Up members congregate out in front of the Yard House before the doors open, then everyone present can be seated accordingly. Its hard to make everyone happy but I do try.

I agree the meet ups are actually hard to meet people. If you are going to a show or movie etc. there is not much time. I know at this venue I heard they met at the Yard House before with a few of the people. You are right about the leader of the group making it known and helping introduce people to others and to feel included in the group.

Hi, I just (now) joined So Cal Tribe (a friend of mine j joined about a week ago) and we're looking forward to joining in some of the events and meet some new people. We both joined so we'd at least know 'someone' right from the start LOL! The Fritz Coleman and kato thing looks good. Since we've just joined and haven't met anyone in the group yet, is it okay to RSVP the event and hope to sit with the group? I have to contact her and see if she would like to go. Is there a deadline for the RSVP? Thanks inadvance for your help :-)

    March 30, 2014

    • Jim T.

Hi Beverly! If you get there before the doors open you can easily be seated with the group. A whole bunch of people will be at the Yard House prior to the show, starting around 5:30 (for Happy Hour) and then moving over to the Improv. Call or text me if you have any problems!

      March 30, 2014

    • Jim T.

I may have to close the RSVP's soon. Typically with these shows only 1/3 to 1/2 of the people who RSVP actually show up (this is also true for my email list), so I always have more names on the guest list than the venue can hold. Its on a first come first served basis, and I have never had to turn people away yet. For a normal show I need at least 600 on the guest list to get 350 to show. Room can hold 400. But Murphy could raise his ugly head and we could have too many people. Its best to be safe and get your tickets early. Box office opens at 6:00.

I too would like to sit with the group.

    1 · March 30, 2014

    • Jim T.

Hi Ron, Meet Up will be gathering in front of the Yard House before the doors open. and they will be seated as a group. Then the Improv fills the surrounding seats. So to guarantee sitting with the group you will need to enter the venue with the group. You have my cell so please call or text if you need to!

May I bring a friend so I would need 2 tickets? -where will we meet before the show and how can I get in touch with the person that is coordinating this?

    March 8, 2014

    • Jim T.

HI Stacy. We meet in front of the Yard House before 7:30. My cell is[masked] and my email is [masked]. You can bring as many guests as you like as long as I know how many :-)
