What we're about

Promote social interaction, participation, and adventure opportunities for people who are affected by mild disabilities. We feel that there is a gap in social interactions for individuals that have a mild disabilities and are more independent. While there are support groups for more involved disabilities through agencies, people with mild disabilities often feel left out or out of place. This group aims to fill that gap. Because these individuals are so independent and have worked so hard to overcome barriers people often do not realize they could benefit from a supportive group setting.
We are looking for men and women with similar interests and abilities in their 20s and 30s to start a social group. We expect most outings to be generally located on the east side of Rochester. The meet-ups would occur at predetermined locations. The goal is to look forward to getting out and meeting people and to have fun.
