In our "Digging deeper" series, we zoom in on a particular tool or method in the Design Thinking process. This time, we focus on participatory mapping.
Also known as community-based mapping, participatory mapping is about the creation of maps by local communities to represent the spatial knowledge. It can be used in the research phase, as a way to understand local values and perceptions, as well as in the ideation phase to explore alternative scenarios.
Guest speaker and product designer Sarah Rombouts will present a short case study on how she used this tool before and what she learned from it. As always during our Digging Deeper sessions, we’ll focus on a hands-on learning experience.
Please be on time! We start 18:45h sharp!
