Social Presencing Theater (SPT) is a methodology for understanding current reality and exploring emerging future possibilities, through being fully present in the body.
It was developed at MIT as part of the Presencing Institute, to bring body-based, experiential learning into individual, organizational and social change efforts.
We are creating a Albany practice group and welcome anyone interested in exploring these concepts together. New attendees welcome at each event.
It is not “theater” in the conventional sense, but uses simple body postures and movements to dissolve limiting concepts, to communicate directly, to access intuition, and to make visible both current reality, and the deeper – often invisible – leverage points for creating profound change.
It has been used effectively for over ten years in business, government, and civil society settings, in places including Brazil, Indonesia, China, Europe and the United States.
We recommend reviewing the information and videos of these practices, at: https://arawanahayashi.com/spt-instruction-videos/
