What we're about

Formally known as POCkeT, Socially Organized Community-Service Technology Through Technology, SOCkeT is a community service initiative started by the Port Orchard Lions Club to help connect Port Orchard residents interested in using technology with community service projects needing improvement. We are now expanding to community service organizations throughout the United States.

With the focus on education, improvement, and connection, SOCkeT provides an additional source of energy for community service efforts. Activeparticipants learn and apply the latest technologies to solve community service problems, using basic program management and software development planning. Examples of the latest technology used are Facebook, Meetup, Azure, GitHub, Google Drive, and Visual Studio Code.

By creating education outlets and fostering communication opportunities, SOCkeT is powering community growth. What are you waiting for? Get plugged in. Serve your community.
